Creating better internal user experience when viewing TargetX Events on the Student Contact Record - Part 1

This is Part 1 of viewing TargetX Events from the Contact Record. Your team of counselors, recruiters, advising, and all staff utilizing your TargetX Salesforce CRM should be able to simply and easily view TargetX Events from the Student Contact record. This series will walk you through tips to customize the Page Layouts, utilizing Formulas, and filter Related Lists to create a great experience for your internal users.

The TargetX Events tool allows institutions to manage on-campus and travel events all within their CRM. Students are able to self-register through the Events Page and there are a ton of options to customize and simplify the student experience. Today we are focusing on your internal users (staff) experience.

Your event managers and system administrators likely have a good grasp on how the tool utilizes the Contact Schedule Item object as a connector object allowing student Contact records to connect to multiple events with different statuses for each event (attended, confirmed, canceled).

However, your standard users may not quite understand how all three of these objects are connected together and the delivered setup for View the Event History in the student Contact Related List can be greatly improved. Our video reviews the basics and step 1 for creating a better experience for your users.
